This Privacy Policy explains how Rouge Ventures LLC, doing business as JIC Precautions ("we", "us", "our"), collects, uses and protects information when you visit jicprecautions.com (the "Site"), sign up for our emails or text messages, or contact us.
Information we collect
- Information you give us: your first name, email address and, if you choose, your mobile phone number, when you sign up for alerts or contact us.
- Usage information: pages visited, links clicked (including clicks on product links), device and browser type, approximate location from your IP address, and the site that referred you. We collect this with Google Analytics, which uses cookies.
How we use your information
- To send the emails and text messages you asked for: preparedness tips, new video alerts and offers.
- To answer your questions and provide customer support.
- To understand how the Site is used and improve it, for example which gear people find most useful.
- To comply with the law and protect our rights.
SMS / text messaging
If you opt in to text messages, we use your mobile number only to send you the messages you agreed to receive. Message frequency varies (up to 4 messages per week). Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time, or HELP for help. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of any purchase.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All of the categories of sharing described in this policy exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with:
- Service providers that run our email, text messaging, website hosting and analytics, only so they can provide those services to us and subject to confidentiality obligations. (SMS opt-in data and consent are never shared, as stated above.)
- Legal authorities when the law requires it, or to protect the rights and safety of our users or others.

Our Shop links to products on Amazon. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases. When you click a product link, Amazon may set its own cookies to credit the purchase to us. Amazon's handling of your information is governed by Amazon's privacy notice, not this policy.
Cookies and analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand Site traffic and which links are clicked. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. The Site works without cookies.
How long we keep information
We keep your contact information until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it, and usage data for as long as our analytics provider retains it (we use the shortest practical setting).
Your choices and rights
- Unsubscribe from emails with the link in any email.
- Stop text messages by replying STOP.
- Ask us to access, correct or delete your information by emailing [email protected]. Depending on where you live (for example California or Texas), you may have additional rights under state privacy laws, and we will honor them.
Children
The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Security
We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. We will post the new version here with a new effective date.
